Welcome to our Home! It feels much more like home now than 5 years ago when we purchased it! I was not in love (more like the opposite of in love) with it when we bought it but it had the square footage we desired and it was a good deal.
I knew it would take a lot of work to get our home how I wanted and I knew I would be flying solo as my wonderful husband has not an ounce of DIY spirit in him (not even a fraction of an ounce).
I also knew I would need to be creative because our budget for extra spending was near zilch. Anyways, it’s been a lot of work but I am so happy with the progress that’s been made.  Let me know if you have any questions!

Aw, thanks Lauren! That means a lot, especially coming from YOU! You made my day!:-)
Amazing! What a difference you have made. And you are right it’s hard to believe the before. All your hard work has made such a great difference. I absolutley love it! You make me want to me more motivated to update our home.
Thanks, Jennifer! You guys are doing an awesome job updating your home! For Pete sakes you guys finished a basement!!!:-)
Lovely home. I particularly enjoyed the photo of the girl’s room, so charming. It’s a lucky little lady who gets to live there!
Thank you, Judy! I must admit, I wouldn’t mind if I had my daughter’s room, my husband not so much though. 🙂
Wow! You have an amazing ability to make things beautiful! I bet you love living in your home! Fun to see what your home looks like even though we live so far away!
Thanks, Amy! It was fun talking to you today! I miss you!
Wow! What a beautiful home you’ve created!
I found your blog from the young house love forum and you house is beautiful. I love the light and bright feel to it
Thank you, Emily!
Wow, amazing job! I can’t believe you have done all that in two years and with no help from the hubs!!! Congrats on your beautiful home!
Aww thanks, Tammy! That means a lot!:-)
Your home is beautiful and I love that you did it yourself! My husband is a zero DIY person too. He always says, if we need something done we will pay someone…then we will need something done and he doesn’t want to spend the money! I can’t win! lol…Love your style!
Shelley
Thank you SO much Shelley! Lol, sounds like your in the perfect position to become an avid DIYer!:-).
Love your DIY achievements…….feels great to say “I did it”….(whether it’s a repair or a new project)!!! Where did you find the print of bicycles, or is it fabric and you framed it yourself???
Hi Susan! Yep it is fabric that I framed myself. I share about the source of bicycle fabric and how I framed it here, http://providenthomedesign.com/2014/08/08/diy-stretched-fabric-wall-art/. Thank you for visiting today!!
So many good ideas from reading your blog! I saw your link to painting cabinets on Pinterest. I absolutely love your table in the kitchen!! I don’t want a traditional island either. Can you tell me if you bought the table and where or if you DIY? Thank you!! Katie
Hi Katie! I bought my kitchen table from Craigslist. I found it by putting the term “butcher block table” in the search box in the For Sale section. I think I searched for a few months before this one came up so I’m glad I kept trying. I’ll keep my fingers crossed that you can find something similar!!:-)
I just love your home. I love the light, airy, fresh and welcoming feel of it. Thank you for sharing your home with us. ML
Aww, so sweet of you.:-) Thank you, MaryLee!
