Girl’s Bedroom Mood Board and Some Deals

Ever since I wrote the post on 20+ Budget Friendly Drapes I’ve been itching to create a girl’s bedroom with the curtains below as the inspiration piece.  I cannot justify redecorating my 3 year old daughter’s bedroom so making a girl’s bedroom mood board was the solution for getting the itch out of my system.:-)

I also have been thinking about uses for old window panes and came up with the idea of using the window pane as a décor piece/dry erase message board.  I did some research and dry erase markers can be used on glass and wipe off just as well as they do on a whiteboard.

I was able to incorporate the curtains and dry erase window pane message board into this “Fun and Fancy” girl’s Bedroom:

I feel the same as you! My 2 year old is still in her nursery so I can’t justify redecorating right now! I love the bright color scheme of the room and adore the drapes. What do you use to create your mood boards Tamara?

Hi Jennifer! I used photoshop elements to create this mood board. I received photoshop elements for Christmas when it was on sale for $70. Before that I used picasa which is a free photo editing program. If you look under my inspiration tab all of the mood boards there (except the 1st one) were done with picasa. Here is the link to the website that taught me how to do this http://theweekendhomemaker.com/creating-a-mood-board-in-picasa. Happy Mood Boarding! It’s a great creative outlet for sure!
