House Update–We Have Walls!

Hello!  I hope you are having a great start to the week!!  I thought I would pop in to share a house update on the home we are building.

As far as the exterior goes they finished putting hardie plank on the outside of the house and installed four pillars on the front porch.  Next week they will install the balusters above the porch and paint the entire house white!

We have walls!  Drywall will be all completed by the end of the week.  Here are some pictures of the house with walls

Next week sometime the cabinetry and trim work will be delivered and they will work on installing all of it over the next few weeks (I think this part will be one of the most exciting parts so far).:-)

I’ve been working on finalizing my tile choices for the bathrooms.

This is the mood board I created for the Boys Bathroom.  There will be another vanity just like this one across from it.

This is the moodboard I created for my daughter’s bathroom.

I didn’t create a mood board for the master bathroom because this inspiration picture is what I want to do!  I love all the marble!

The powder bathroom is what I’m still deciding on.  If you have any pictures of bathrooms or floor tile you think I would love feel free to send it my way!!:-)

I’ve been finding really good prices on tile at Floor & Decor!  Other places have been almost double the price.  It’s a little bit of a pain because it’s 30 minutes away but I think it will be worth the money I save.

It seems like Wayfair also has some good prices on tile.  Where have you found  tile you like for a reasonable price?

Well, that is what has been going on in my neck of the woods.  We will probably put our house on the market in about a month and I have a LONG to do list to get it ready (four kids and a dog can be rough on a house)!  I have a lot of touch up paint on the walls and baseboards to do, etc.   Wish me luck!

As always let me know if you have any questions and thank you for following!!

💙,

P.s.  My friend, Carrie, from Caroline on Design recently wrote a post sharing tips and advice from 8 bloggers (me included) 🙂 on the building process.  If you are interested you can check out the post, HERE!

So exciting Tamara!! I love your choices for the bathrooms. It must be so fun to pick all of this out just to fit what you want versus living in a home where someone else made the decisions.

Thank you, Jennifer!! It has been a cool (sometimes stressful) experience to be the one making the decisions for our home! It will be fun to see how it all comes together!
