Hello! I hope everyone is having a great start to the weekend! It is sunny and 67 today here in Ohio. A beautiful day to go watch my youngest son play his last soccer game of the season! What are you up to today?
Today I am also sharing my oldest son’s bedroom which also acts as a guest bedroom when we have company stay with us. Similar to the rest of the house my goal for this room was a simple, clean aesthetic that incorporates blue and emanates an attractive yet easy going vibe.
As you can see our dog wanted a piece of the action.:-)
I love an accent wall and this wallpaper helps draw the focus to the bed without being overpowering. The natural wood texture in the window treatments and nightstands give the room warmth and depth.
Because the closet has shelving and a double rod system a dresser was unnecessary which freed up some room to have a sitting space.
The rug was a stretch for me! I’m not usually drawn to the color orange as it feels a bit bold but I love how it tied together the powdery blue, dark blue, and warmth in the room. When I first put the rug down I had doubts but I determined to sit with it for a couple of weeks and I came to love it.
And I am happy to report that my son loves his room too (although he probably doesn’t care what it looks like he’s just glad to not have to share a room anymore)!
