Happy Friday! I hope your weekend is off to a good start!
Last week I had the opportunity to walk through a few of the houses in our local Parade of Homes 3 weeks before it opens to the public. I love going to our local Parade of Homes every year!
Even if none of the homes are my exact style I still enjoy seeing what home builders and designers are doing and I always come away more decisive about what I want and don’t want to incorporate in my own home.
I will share more info about this year’s BIA Parade of Homes (just 2 weeks away) as well as a way to possibly get free tickets at the end of this post!
Here are some photos and observations from the tour.
Many of the exteriors incorporated wood trim details.
Dark navy blue not only adorned exteriors but also walls, ceilings, and vanities.
Cabinetry continues to be painted white, varying colors, or stained in a medium wood tone.
I loved this pretty color of vanity (blue/green/gray)!
This shower was unique in that they used large quartz slabs for the shower walls to prevent grout lines.
In the past few months I have been hearing about porcelain countertops being the next new thing! It was fun to finally see them in person. They are beautiful (as can be seen in the next two pictures)!
Many of the bedrooms and other living spaces were not decorated yet. But here are some that were.
I loved the little desk nooks in these kids bedrooms.
I love this room set up!
And here is a glimpse into a few living spaces that will soon be decorated. Can’t wait to come back and see all of the homes done!
The BIA Parade of Homes will run from September 1-16th. You can find all of the information, HERE.
If you are in the Central Ohio area and would like a chance to win a free ticket to the 2018 BIA Parade of Homes you can subscribe to my weekly blog posts via the sign up form in my sidebar (it’s free) OR follow me on Instagram HERE.
