First of all I wanted to thank everyone who commented on my last post about what paint color palette would look best on my home’s exterior! Your comments were super helpful and much appreciated!!:-)
A few years back I had a little series going where I spotlighted the work of my favorite interior designers. I did maybe 3 of them and then poof just like the latest kid’s trend (think silly bands, rainbow loom bracelets, soon fidget spinners) my designer spotlight series was gone.
I’m not even sure why. It must have been one of my notorious brain farts (I’m really good at those…not to brag or anything).:-)
Well, over the past month or so the work of interior designer, Kelly Nutt Design, has caught my eye on Instagram (you can join me on Instagram HERE)! Her style is best described as overall traditional with a definite light and airy emphasis and she has a serious knack for creating spaces that are both relaxed and sophisticated–not an easy feat
See for yourself!
Love the navy and white!
Other than the fact that it seems she loves stripes as much I do I also love the overall neutral color palettes she uses with subtle pops of blue. Paint color palettes such as these from my “Paint Color Ideas” Pinterest Board.
She makes up for the lack of color by adding lots and lots of texture through fabrics, furniture, wood, and decor accents. Her simple but layered design creates beautiful spaces that feel cozy yet breathable.
What strikes you most about her work?
On another note, I have the opportunity to interview a home organization guru and I’m wondering what questions or challenges do you have regarding keeping (or getting) your home organized? Let me know in the comments and I’ll be sure to share her answers with you!
I hope you have a great rest of your week!! And be sure to stay hydrated if you have a lot of heat where you live!:-)
