Navy & White You Feel So Right

 Hello!  I hope you’ve had a  great week!  I’ve had a lot of fun putting this post together to share with you today!  There is so much beautiful inspiration in this one post!

There is something magical about the combining decorating powers of navy and white.  Together they exude feelings of timelessness, dependability, relaxed confidence, simplicity, elegance, refinement, cleanliness, beauty, optimism, and peace.

As someone who is highly effected by her surroundings it is not a surprise that I love finding ways to decorate with navy and white in my own home.

10 years ago we had a navy painted accent wall in the kitchen of our condo.  I chose white floating shelves for my navy “visual family tree” wall and never grew tired of it.

 In our current home I’ve added splashes of navy and white décor in my office/bedroom.

In the nursery with this DIY navy and white whale art.

In my boys bedroom with the Ikea white over-the-bed sconces and navy bedspreads and DIY bicycle wall art.

With the dining room drapes and DIY navy and white striped thrift store vase.

In living room with the DIY abstract painting, DIY pillows and reupholstered thrift store chairs.

And as we speak I’m in the process of making navy and white pillows for our new patio seating area (sneak peek photo).

I knew I wouldn’t be able to make it through the whole thing without saying anything!:-)  Navy and white is SO versatile!  It seriously looks amazing with any color.  Pink, yellow, coral, mint, green, orange, lilac, other blues, brown, gold, gray, even mustard.  You basically can’t go wrong!:-)
