No-Fail Abstract Painting Tutorial

Hello! If you’ve been following this blog for awhile you may know that I kinda love abstract paintings.:-) There is something beautiful about them, so unassuming, so raw. I love how they aren’t trying to be perfect, they just are.

I was on a date with my hubby one rare school night evening recently and as we drove on the highway I couldn’t help but take a picture (with my phone) of this beautiful sunset in our path.
Sunset- God's Abstract Paintings

As I marveled at it I thought to myself that really reminds me of an abstract painting and then I realized, of course, it’s God’s abstract painting! Maybe that’s why I love abstract paintings so much? I know I also love them because they are so easy to create and aren’t very expensive to do (they are very expensive to buy though).

I wanted to let you know that I am over at Remodelaholic today sharing a no fail, 5 step tutorial on creating your own abstract painting. I use the painting I recently did for my living room makeover as the example but really this can help you create any abstract painting you want.
How to Paint a DIY Abstract Painting
You can also find links to my other abstract art tutorials at the end of the Remodelaholic post.  If you want some inspiration on how to incorporate abstract paintings into traditional design you can view, HERE.

And I couldn’t help but notice all of the abstract paintings used in Ballard Design’s recent Summer wall colors post (I’m crushing on the subtle Silver Satin color).

If all goes as planned (does it ever with DIY) 🙂 I’ll be back later this week to share an simple DIY planter tutorial!  TTF (Til Then Friends)!
