Welcome to our home!  I’m glad you are here for our Christmas home tour.  If you are new here don’t hesitate to ask questions.  I do a lot of DIY and bargain shopping so if you see something you like I probably have done a tutorial for it already and can share a source!

Christmas Home Tour

We will start with our hallway where previously a closet is now a makeshift mudroom.  We love being able to drop our coats, boots, and bags here.
Christmas Hallway
I purchased the live wreath from Costco just for the (sm)ell of it.:0)  We don’t do the live tree thing yet so it has been so nice to have the pine fragrance in our home.  It was only $15 which is an amazing deal considering it is so large and attractive.

Closet turned Mudroom

To the right of the entry is our living room.
Christmas Decorating in the Living Room

I added red bows to my diy topiaries and the diy table top trees on the coffee table are made out of foam board and scrapbook paper.

I hung extra large ornaments and ribbon (from the dollar store) from the ceiling for a fun element of surprise.
Hanging Ornaments from the Ceiiling

I know, how mean to tease the cat with hanging balls!  This sleeping beauty will show up again (and again)  in our home tour.
Living Room Christmas Decorating
I found our nutcracker at a garage sale for $1.  He sits on a side table in the living room and is reminiscent of the nutcrackers my mom use to decorate with in our home growing up.

On the other side of our entry is the dining room.  I decorated it this Christmas with a subtle coastal theme

Now we move down the hall into the kitchen.  I normally have the jar full of all green apples (faux apples) but for Christmas I switch out a couple of green ones with a couple of red ones.

Christmas Kitchen Decorating

I created this Holiday wreath card displayer to hang from the cornice in the kitchen.

More diy table top trees adorn a corner side table.

The chandelier over our kitchen table gets her hair done every Christmas.;-)  I bought these turquoise poinsettia flowers super clearanced after Christmas one year at Joann’s.
Decorating Chandeliers for Christmas

Our Kitchen looks into our family room which is all decked out for Christmas.  The rustic pallet backdrop was an easy diy you can find here.  Do you see the little cat ears sticking out in this photo?

The stockings are from Pottery barn kids. I bought them for a discounted price on ebay.

The only thing I added to the shelf below was a gold pine cone and some boxwood clippings.  It doesn’t have to take much to infuse a little Christmas cheer into the home.
Christmas Shelf Display

Our Christmas tree this year is rather simple, decorated in silvers and whites with accents of turquoise and gold.  I let the kids help me decorate it and you can probably tell.:-)  Notice the tree in bare towards the very top of the tree.

They stood on the arms of the couches to reach higher on the tree but you can tell where their cut off point was.  I photoshopped some presents into the picture because I haven’t done a lick of wrapping yet.  Wrapping historically happens the night before Christmas at our house.
O' Christmas Tree
I didn’t decorate any bedrooms this year but I did add a little Christmas tree to the kids recently made over bathroom.

Kids Bathroom Christmas Home Tour

They were so happy to have a Christmas tree put in their bathroom–simple pleasures.

Coming back down our stairs you can view our entry.  The lighted trees were a Black Friday deal from Michaels a couple of years ago.  And our cat still trying to get attention.  I swear she knows when I’m about to take a picture because she’ll make sure she’s in it.

Holiday Stairs

Okay, I guess we’ll oblige her and give her a little attention.  You’re a pretty girl, Bengal, now you can stop photo bombing please.:-)

Christmas Cat
I hope you enjoyed our Holiday home tour!  I enjoyed showing you around!  Nothing is perfect looking here but that’s life and we’re okay with it.  My goal is always progression not perfection.
